Aldebaran

In my painting, a powerful bull approaches the viewer head-on. Its glowing red eye refers to the star “Aldebaran” in the constellation Taurus, which gave it its name. Around it, I have subtly suggested further bulls – like echoes of its energy, fading in multiple layers into the background.

I deliberately chose warm, earthy and fiery red tones to make the strength, power and inner glow of this creature palpable.

For me, the connection of the bull with the constellation stands for cosmic vastness, primordial power and timeless permanence.

In the composition, I wanted to unite movement and dominance while creating a mythical aura – as a symbol of the will to live, endurance and the eternal.
