Elnath

In this first painting of my Taurus series, I depicted the bull as a quiet, dignified enthroned figure. Its calm gaze refers to Elnath, the star that shines in the constellation Taurus as the “tip of the horn” and gave me inspiration. The gently curved horns extend as if connecting heaven and earth.

I chose deep, earthy red tones and shimmering shadows to create an atmosphere of primordialness and mysticism. In the background, shadowy structures are suggested – like distant stars or forgotten myths. For me, this image embodies serenity and inner strength through constancy.
