Between Heaven and Earth

In this image, I intentionally used the stark contrast between warm earth tones and cool sky colours to create a dramatic yet melancholic mood. The sky takes up a lot of space – its swirling transitions from blue to green to warm orange reflect, for me, the restlessness and beauty of nature.

The hills in the middle ground are bathed in rusty, golden tones, while the foreground, with its cool blues and greens, has an almost dreamlike quality. The small hut, standing alone in the vast countryside, symbolises human vulnerability for me. In the midst of this overwhelming landscape, it becomes a silent sign of loneliness, transience and, at the same time, quiet hope.
