Kaukasus

In this work, I focused on a wide, rugged mountain range in the Caucasus. My focus was on an intense warm-cold contrast to create a dramatic atmosphere. The mountains are rendered in bold rust, orange and red tones, emphasising their mineral depth and traces of erosion. I contrast this earthy element with the cool, flowing blue of the water. This deliberate juxtaposition of elements serves as a metaphor for the human psyche: it symbolises the tension between inner passion and emotional depth.
