Calm and Storm
InterestIn this work, I create an expansive lavender field that extends like a breathing carpet into the distance. As I painted, I wanted to capture this feeling of vastness and freedom that always touches me. Above the violet field spans a sky that oscillates between dark, heavy clouds and a bright, almost golden glowing horizon. This transition zone particularly fascinates me – it appears like a moment between two worlds, between weather change and transformation in life.
In my technique, I deliberately intensify this arc of tension: the calm of the ordered lavender furrows meets the drama of the sky. Thus a painting emerges in which stillness and storm, beauty and unrest become simultaneously palpable – like a breath of nature that carries everything within itself.
