Blossoms of the Almond in the Caucasus

In Blossom of the Almond in the Caucasus, I let the landscape appear like a living breath. The mountains rise up in powerful, untamed streams of colour – as if they were telling their own story. Their flanks bear pink, green, ochre and blue like memories of changing seasons. The sky above dissolves into light, soft tones, almost dreamlike. Below, a fertile, vibrant valley spreads out, full of pulsating shades of green. The almond trees in the foreground appear like small points of light, delicate yet full of energy. Their blossoms represent new beginnings and hope – a quiet contrast to the mighty mountains. I wanted to capture how nature and emotion flow into one another. It is a place between reality and inner image. Here, the colours say more than the shapes.
