Between Heaven and Earth
InquireIn this painting, I deliberately contrasted two contrasting depths.
For me, the upper part belongs to the powerful, vibrant blue, which I created like a breathing sky.
The white, dense clouds repeatedly break up the blue – they should appear as if they are moving inexorably.
While painting, I felt this fresh, stormy energy, which is why I made the cold tones so dominant.
For me, the sky is the heart of the picture: wild, dynamic and full of light and shadow moments.
I wanted it to dominate the entire space, almost like a force of nature that cannot be ignored.
In the lower area, I created depth through darkness and texture to provide a counterbalance.
The middle ground, on the other hand, was deliberately made softer, lighter and slightly blurred so that the eye is drawn into it.
This creates the spatial tension that was important to me: a dialogue between proximity and distance, calm and storm.
